DEDALO
Old tales for a brand new object.

"Ancient tales for a brand new object" is the promise for Dedalo, who is inspired by the jugs for liquids of 1300 - 1200 BC, from the Mycenaean period (Crete, Greece).

During a tour in the island of Crete, and a visit to the archaeological museum of Heraklion, where you can admire the masterpieces of the archaeological site of Knossos, I could not fail to be inspired by the works of the masters of antiquity, in particular the vessels for drinks, oil, honey from the Mycenaean period. Hence the Dedalo vase, a contemporary heir.

Daedalus is a character from Greek mythology; great architect, sculptor and inventor, known above all for being the builder of the famous labyrinth of the Minotauro of Knossos.

Working on the concept of "Design and territory", I was inspired by what history and ancient civilizations offer to elaborate a synthesis. While I was trying to construct the object, I started by removing that "more", the superfluous to arrive at a very synthetic geometric shape. Dedalo, in fact, represents a design object, where synthesis is the fundamental element.
